Cure One is increasingly in the spotlight – and for good reason. Our unique approach to accelerating the cure for type 1 diabetes continues to attract attention. Early May marked the start of an important new phase in the fight against type 1 diabetes. For the first time, a patient who was still able to produce some insulin of their own has been treated with a so‑called inverse vaccine: a therapy designed not to activate the immune system, but to calm it.
Cure One researcher Dr. René van Tienhoven has been elected a ‘Rising Star’ by the international Immunology of Diabetes Society during its congress in Brisbane, Australia, on 21 April 2026.
INNODIA is a leading European collaborative initiative focused on innovation in type 1 diabetes research and is currently actively working on the establishment of a clinical research site.
