Stem cell islet biology and development, and in vivo modeling

The team of Françoise Carlotti conducts translational research aimed at understanding Islet biology and the development of protocols for the generation of stem cell-derived islets (SC-islet). Research protocols are translated into clinically applicable protocols according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). This includes the development of in vitro and in vivo assays to evaluate the quality, safety, and function of the cell product.
The team is part of the RegMedXB, H2020 ISLET and reNEW consortia.
