Arnaud Zaldumbide

Arnaud Zaldumbide is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Cellular Immunology at LUMC. After studying Cell and Molecular Biology in Nice, he completed his PhD in 2003 and then moved to Leiden to research viral inhibitors of antigen presentation in Rob Hoeben’s group. Later, his focus shifted to the role of (stem) cells in diabetes. Since 2012, he has been a staff scientist in Leiden, working, among other projects, in Bart Roep’s center of expertise on the discovery of new beta cell antigens. Today, as a group leader, Arnaud bridges research on beta cell regeneration with immune protection.
